Runyi Law Firm Conducts Legal Briefing on the "Shanghai Municipal Household Waste Management Regulations"
To further advance waste classification work in a solid manner, and resolutely implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions on promoting the waste classification system, Shanghai Runyi Law Firm, as the legal consultant of the Changfeng New Village Street Community Neighborhood Committee, actively coordinated with the Changfeng New Village Judicial Office to arrange briefings on the "Shanghai Municipal Household Waste Management Regulations" (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations"). Supported by the Changfeng Community Foundation, in August, the firm conducted legal briefings on the "Regulations" for a total of eight neighborhood committees, including Daduhe 95th Lane, Xindukou, Haixin, Changsi Yiwei, Changsi Erwei, Shida San Village, Ziyu Haoting, and Yashi Mingdi, with more than one hundred neighborhood committee cadres, resident representatives, and property management staff participating in this briefing event.
Shanghai Runyi Law Firm meticulously prepared PowerPoint presentations and lecture materials for the briefing, delivering in-depth and accessible explanations while addressing questions from participants. The briefing primarily covered five aspects of the "Regulations": "Background and Significance of Formulation," "Main Content of Waste Classification," "Subjects and Responsibilities," "Substantive Cases," and "Looking to the Future." It emphasized the importance and necessity of waste classification from a legal perspective. Through pre-briefing research and understanding, the firm compiled issues encountered in waste classification work and practical cases, truly leveraging the role of case-based legal education. During the briefing, everyone actively exchanged difficulties encountered in waste classification work, sharing typical cases and beneficial experiences from the implementation of the "Regulations" for mutual learning and reference.
After the systematic explanation by Runyi Law Firm, participants expressed that they gained significant benefits and deeply recognized the importance and urgency of waste classification. Waste classification is an ecological protection battle concerning everyone and a great livelihood project that requires each of us to participate. Starting from ourselves, starting now, we should reduce the harm caused by waste and jointly create a green home. Let the concept of waste classification enter thousands of households, encourage community residents to actively participate in the practice of waste classification, and jointly maintain a beautiful and clean community environment.
