On June 16, 2025, the "Shanghai Young Lawyers' Leading Talent Comprehensive Training Camp (Phase 9)", hosted by the Shanghai Bar Association, officially commenced. Attorney Wang Siqi, a Partner at Runyi Law Firm, participated as an outstanding young lawyer representative, joining 70 law firm managers and partners from across the city in this five-day closed training session. Themed "Development of Shanghai-Style Specialized Law Firms," this training camp focused on the specialization and branding of small and medium-sized law firms, aiming to facilitate the industry's transformation and upgrading towards "specialization, refinement, differentiation, and innovation."
Zhou Wenjie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Shanghai Legal Profession, delivered the first lecture titled "Leading High-Quality Development of the Legal Profession through Party Building." Secretary Zhou emphasized that high-quality development of the legal profession must adhere to the leadership of the Party, promote firm building through Party building, and empower the rule of law through professional services.
The opening ceremony of the training camp was presided over by Jiang Wei, Deputy Director of the Youth Lawyers Working Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association. Shao Wanquan, President of the Shanghai Bar Association, and Gu Binquan, Director of the Lawyers' Work Division of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice, delivered speeches respectively, encouraging young lawyers to seize opportunities for industry development, enhance their professional competence and management skills, and contribute to the construction of a society governed by the rule of law.
This training camp revolved around the specialization and branding development of small and medium-sized law firms, with courses covering multiple dimensions such as law firm strategic management, business innovation, brand building, and digital transformation. Through thematic lectures, case studies, simulated negotiations, and team collaboration, participants delved into how to build boutique law firms with "Shanghai-style characteristics" to achieve differentiated competition and sustainable development.
