Runyi Law Firm was invited to deliver a specialized presentation on preventing telecommunications and online fraud for Changfeng Subdistrict.
To effectively safeguard the personal rights and interests of retired cadres and further enhance their awareness of anti-fraud and risk prevention capabilities, on the morning of September 14, attorneys from Shanghai Runyi Law Firm, at the invitation of the Party Construction Office of Changfeng New Village Subdistrict, in conjunction with the Judicial Office and the Public Security Office, conducted a knowledge seminar on preventing telecommunications and online fraud titled "Ensuring Safety, Rejecting Scams" for retired cadres within the jurisdiction. More than 50 retired cadres participated in the event.
During the seminar, the attorneys introduced the key provisions of the Anti-Telecommunications and Online Fraud Law and, focusing on typical fraud cases in judicial practice, explained to the retired cadres in vivid and accessible language the methods of "identifying scams" and "preventing scams," enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of new types of fraudulent tactics and preventive measures.
After the seminar, the retired cadres exchanged views on various fraudulent schemes they had encountered. The attorneys summarized the eight-character maxim: "Do not give money; do not take money," further strengthening the publicity efforts and enhancing the self-protection awareness and capabilities of the local residents.
