To further advance the solid implementation of waste classification efforts and resolutely put into practice the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping's directives on promoting the waste classification system, Shanghai Runyi Law Firm, serving as the legal counsel for the Community Neighborhood Committees of Changfeng New Village Subdistrict, actively coordinated with the Changfeng New Village Judicial Office to arrange the presentation and interpretation of the "Shanghai Municipal Household Waste Management Regulations" (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations"). Supported by the Changfeng Community Foundation, legal briefings on the Regulations were conducted in August for eight neighborhood committees, namely, Daduhe Road Lane 95, Xindukou, Haixin, Changsi Yiwei, Changsi Erwei, Shida Sancun, Ziyu Haoting, and Yashi Mingdi. A total of over one hundred participants, including cadres from various neighborhood committees, resident representatives, and property management staff, attended these briefing sessions.

Shanghai Runyi Law Firm meticulously prepared PowerPoint presentations and lecture materials tailored to the theme of the briefings, delivering explanations in an accessible manner and addressing questions raised by the attendees. The briefings primarily focused on five aspects of the Regulations: "Background and Significance of Formulation," "Main Content of Waste Classification," "Subjects and Responsibilities," "Case Studies," and "Outlook for the Future," with an emphasis on the importance and necessity of waste classification from a legal perspective. Through pre-briefing research and understanding, issues encountered in waste classification work and practical cases were compiled, effectively demonstrating the application of law through examples. During the briefings, participants actively exchanged views on difficulties faced in waste classification work and shared typical cases and beneficial experiences from the implementation of the Regulations for mutual learning and reference.

Following the systematic explanations provided by Runyi Law Firm, the attendees expressed that they had greatly benefited, gaining a profound understanding of the importance and urgency of waste classification. Waste classification is an ecological battle that concerns everyone and represents a significant livelihood project. It requires the participation of each individual, starting with ourselves and starting now, to reduce the harm caused by waste and jointly create a green home. Let the concept of waste classification enter every household, encouraging community residents to actively participate in the practice of waste classification actions, and collectively maintain a beautiful and tidy community environment.
